The last two weeks
Have you ever watched the movie “Four Weddings and a Funeral”? I spent the last 2 weeks traveling. I went to a wedding in Virginia and a funeral in Bogue Sound, NC. This has been a hard week for me. I have been traveling. I also volunteer at the Won Buddhist temple, gardening, and work nonstop in my gardens. I’m exhausted.
I’m the king of person that likes to pack it all.
It is hard for me not to do things for the causes I feel strongly about. Like coloring, drawing, and helping the Reverends at the Buddhist temple. Needless to say, I’m exhausted. That’s why, this week, I’m posting a day late and skipping an important project that I promised last week.
What I did about it
I spent the week doing research about the subject.
- On publishing with Draft2Draft.
- The Chicago Manual Style
- Scene and Structure, by Jack M. Bickham
But, as I said before, part of being a good writer is self-care. I’m taking this week off and will postpone the post I promised.
Reminder and teaser
If you remember, my promise was this: Next week, I’ll be diving deeper into the writing process. I’m excited to share how I plan a book from beginning to end, structure a manuscript, and create a story map.
Tender Loving Care
I hope you forgive me for taking this time to give myself some self-love, or THV. Meanwhile, I will do more research for my research on “Writing Advice: Take it or leave it.”
Au Revoir
This week, I have two big things coming up: One, I’m releasing my coloring book on Amazon on April 30th. Two: I’m translating a children’s book for a friend. This is a project I only do for special friends. Until next week, I hope you also take time to give yourself some Tender Loving Care when you need it.
