This weekend, we are celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The town of Beaufort, where I spend a lot of time, is already looking festive. This Saturday, there will be a parade, something I always enjoy.

This week, I was immersed in the craft projects I will be selling at the Beaufort Farmers Market on Saturday, August 8th, 2026, rather than telling you about them. I will show you what I’ve made.

These are watercolor paintings in shadow boxes made out of metal lids. They are magnetic, and you can use them to decorate your fridge.

These butterflies look as if they are getting ready to fly. They would look beautiful in your Christmas tree. They are made out of recycled cardboard and painted with acrylics.

Travel paint palettes made with candy tin cans, shells, and magnets. They are perfect for on-the-go painting and include a brush and some cotton paper to get you started.
